Role Purpose:
To support the Finance Manager in the efficient operation of the Management accounts function within the Finance department, providing expertise in a wide range of technical and administrative tasks. The Management Accounts team will consist of 2 Financial analysts and a Finance Manager.

Finance Manager
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, providing financial analysis to Project Managers and Senior Managers and financial reporting to external funders. They will also be involved in Budgeting, Income and Expenditure analysis, Cashflow, Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Management of month end closing processes to ensure timely closure of books and accurate reporting for both management and financial accounting requirements, including income and expenditure analysis. Financial analysis and reviews with project and Senior managers, including reforecasting. Financial reporting to Statutory Funders, including liaising directly with Funders on all reporting requirements and analysis. Manage financial relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including audits and service reviews. Annual budgets for individual projects as required by funders and the overall organisational budget. Cashflows Ad hoc projects as they arise.
The Holder (Qualification/Skills Requirements):
Education Requirements:
- Business Degree or third level equivalent with Accounting/ Economic background or part qualified Accountant
Job skills/Experience:
- Very strong budgeting and planning experience is essential Advanced systems skills especially spreadsheets Minimum 3 years experience in a busy accounts environment. Numerate with excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills Proven ability to implement change An ability to work on own initiative whilst making a significant contribution to the accounts team An ability to take on ad hoc projects and drive through to completion Ability to work to tight deadlines Strong organisational skills & flexibility
