Accounts Payable Assistant
Salary: £ 22,000 - £ 24,000
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

We are looking for an Administrator to join our busy team. As an integral member of the Payroll and Accounts Payable team, you will perform a variety of tasks, in accordance with processes and procedures, to ensure the prompt and accurate payment of our staff wages and our supplier invoices. Full on-the-job training will be provided, and future Finance qualifications will be considered. You will contribute to smooth running of the Company by ensuring the efficient processing of payments to both our employees and our suppliers.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will be :
* Processing purchase invoices to Sage 200 and internal systems
* Analysing and coding high volumes of invoices
* Reconciling supplier invoices to delivery notes and PO numbers
* Processing BACS payments
* Reconciliation of monthly supplier statements to supplier ledger
* Dealing with internal and external queries by phone, email and face to face
* Credit Card - analysis, coding and input
* Processing weekly payroll for circa 650 employees
* Calculation of statutory payments e.g. SSP / SMP/ SPP
* Dealing with and investigating queries from employees
* Taking ownership for the resolution of queries raised
* Processing employee expense and mileage claims
