You will play an important role in the Finance Team, responsible for assisting to and reporting to the Senior Finance Officer / Team Leader. In particular, receiving, verifying and processing invoices, ensuring that they are correctly received.

You will also ensure that invoices are dealt with in a timely manner and in accordance with terms and conditions, including assisting with any queries that may be raised.

Client Details

Our client is part of the local community and are looking for a Finance Officer to join their team on a Fixed Term Contract for 8 months, working Monday to Friday on a flexible basis working 30 hours per week. However, these hours can be completed over 4 days. The salary offered is up to £23,000.

Description

Your key responsibilities:

  • Ensure invoices are verified, correctly received, accurate and coded correcty;
  • Ensure invoices are compliant and dealt with in a timely manner;
  • Assist the Senior Finance Officer / Team Leader in the payment runs;
  • Be responsible for identifying where discounts to invoices can be applied;
  • Process salary deductions where necessary;
  • Be responsible for ensuring monthly reconciliations are correctly submitted;
  • Attend training courses and seminars; and
  • Above all, play a critical part in our client's business.

Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Be able to work at their Ripley office (5 days per week)
  • Have prior all round accounts assistant experience
  • Computer literate
  • Have a minimum of 5 GCSEs
  • Be computer literate
  • Be a team player
  • Have the confidence to communicate with colleagues
  • Have good communication skills
