Exciting opportunity for the right candidate to become part of IT metrics product team. We are a part of Business Management & Transformation unit within Technology & Operations area. You will be part of a close-knit, small, cross functional product team alongside technical lead/manager, database developer/integrator and BI architect/analyst/technical solutions consultant to help deliver dashboards for IT senior managers. Interactive visualisations help them track people and finance related KPIs on a monthly cycle.

As a team we are responsible for E2E process from sourcing the data to providing the dashboards to end users, maintaining, and improving them afterwards. We achieve that by working together in a collaborative manner where everyone is encouraged and empowered to contribute to achieve the best outcome.

The difference you'll make.

  • Analysing and translating business requirements into technical specifications to provide to database developer
  • Helping define the design and solution to ensure different scenarios are considered for better customer experience and product understanding
  • Building and supporting efficient data processes, taking data from numerous sources, preparing and reconciling data
  • Testing data accuracy and results from data sources all the way to the final product
  • Contributing to creating, testing, and improving visualisations in MicroStrategy and in Qlik Sense
  • Delivering quality, individually or as a team player, with a holistic view of all deliverables

What you'll bring.

  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills with ability for pivot tables, different formulas, filters, power pivot, etc
  • Excellent data analytical skills with the ability to assimilate information from many sources
  • Working knowledge of BI tools MicroStrategy and Qlik Sense
  • Some knowledge of technologies such as database and SQL, mainly for extracting data from PostgreSQL database to test data accuracy and reconcile.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and embrace and adapt to new challenges and opportunities

It would also be nice for you to have.

  • Passion about providing a positive customer experience
  • Some practical experience of Agile methodology
  • Knowledge in software development lifecycle and testing
  • Experience of change management

What else you need to know.

This is a secondment/fixed term contract position for 12 months.

This role is Milton Keynes based with a hybrid working approach.

Working hours is routine Monday-Friday, with no shift work or out of hours call outs expected.
