We're looking for a Finance Business Partner who is passionate about supporting the business to make great commercial and financial decisions

In the Finance Business Partnering team we work with the business to understand how we spend money, helping to ensure that we make the right commercial decisions within a sound control environment.

We are looking to hire a Finance Business Partner who will provide support to the Customer Delivery team in understanding and managing their financials end to end. You will provide focus on value-add through the provision of sound financial advice and support. You will do this by:

  • By being a proactive and trusted advisor, acting as Subject Matter Expert on all financials and headcount, helping the business to deliver on their strategy
  • Partnering effectively with the business and the planning team to forecast costs and headcount, and understand and explain the drivers when actual costs differ to plan
  • Translating the financials into a compelling business story
  • Challenging and understanding the financial impact and benefit of investment projects and other business cases

You'll be based in one of main head office locations, however you will work flexibly between home and our office. If working remotely is new to you, don't worry, we'll give you the support and equipment you need to get step up, including a company laptop.

Profile

What we need today

To make sure you're set up for success you'll already have these skills and experience:

  • Experience in developing meaningful relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders, with evidence of strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence and ensure key messages and actions are clear and easy to understand
  • Proven experience of using & applying modelling and analytical skills to help understand and present key drivers of the costs and appropriate accounting treatment
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to design and adapt new processes and reports as the needs to the business change

  • Provide detailed analysis and challenge of monthly actual costs and provision of variance analysis and commentary
  • Support production of Exco/Exco-1 actual and performance reporting packs
  • Proactively collaborate with business contacts to understand and translate requirements into risks, opportunities and outlook input. Complete regular outlook (and annual MTP) submissions as appropriate
  • Provide analysis, advice & challenge to the business to ensure spend is optimised
  • Support independent review and challenge of business cases and commercial benefits
  • Identify and deliver process and control improvements

Job Offer
