Credit Control (6 months contract)

Client Details

A well known household name, a manufacturing business in Birmingham, Marston Green is looking to hire a Credit Controller on a six months contract.

Description

Work closely with line manager where an order will result in a customer exceeding its credit limit; agree either an
early payment or align to extend the credit of the customer
Circulate weekly credit usage reports to highlight when a customer is approaching its credit limit; discuss action
plan with line manager.
Attendance and participation at Credit & Cash Committees + Account Review Meetings
Prioritise collection of sales invoices using the suggested work list and actions in High Radius
Regular review of ageing reports and agree action plans to minimise transactions beyond terms
Optimise the use of High Radius auto-matching of payments-in to customer accounts/invoices
Manage any failed matches of cash allocation in High Radius and identify the cause of the failure; take corrective action to avoid repeat of failure
Estimate the cash in at month end to give visibility to cash controlling; animate any risks or opportunities
Animate the reasons for differences between the forecast and actual cash in; agree ways to improve accuracy
Ensure no cash unapplied at month end close and work with R2R to close the ledger

Profile

The ideal candidate will be immediately available or available on short notice. They will:

Be a competent user of SAP and Microsoft Excel
Have good understanding of I2C process flows through IT systems to revolve issues
Have good communication and stakeholder management;
