Job Description

Our organically growing Corporate Finance team is seeking a suitably qualified Financial Accountant to join the team and specialise in representing the interests of national and multi-national clients.

Based at Head Office in the CBD office and reporting to the Financial Controller, this key role is responsible for producing accurate and timely accounting information for our Corporate Finance team. You will successfully achieve this by:
  • Dealing with internal and external queries on all revenue related system matters.
  • Actively work with the team and wider business to perform Accounts Receivable core functions including performing cash allocations, timely clearance of unmatched / unallocated receipts.
  • Ensure refunds and adhoc transactions are processed in a timely manner and accurate manner.
  • Banking of cheques and recording into SUN.
  • Monitoring of conjunction fees and ensuring external agencies are paid when due.
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintaining and performing daily bank reconciliations.
  • Deliver ad-hoc analytical data/reports.
  • Prepare month end reports as required for designated accounts.
  • Understanding of GST and FBT implications of accounting transactions and review correctness of expense coding for account allocation, GST input tax credit and FBT charge.
  • Ensure control outlines within Sarbanes Oxley Legislation are understood and executed.
  • Partner with corporate finance team on audit / ad-hoc queries.
  • Involved in process and system improvement strategies or projects as directed by Finance team initiatives.


Qualifications
  • Experience within a similar role, ideally within the property industry.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business Administration or Commerce.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience using SUN system.
  • Ability to build and foster key relationships, a flexible attitude in terms of changing work requirements and your desire to work in a highly team orientated environment.
