Please remember if you have a preference for a certain area within Assurance, make sure to note this on your application form!

IT Controls Assurance

Technology is at the heart of most modern organisations. While Technology opens opportunities, it also exposes organisations to risks. As organizations continue to transform at pace and embrace new emerging technology, there is an ever-increasing need for support in mitigating risk.

With increased reliance on third parties offering SAAS (Software As A Service), there is a requirement for independent auditors to provide comfort on the adequacy of the controls in place. In this role, you will be conducting reviews over processes in dynamic environments, applying best practice control frameworks to produce reports that are relied upon by users of the products offered by the third party.

Our IT Controls Assurance Team combines digital know-how with advanced technology to help clients understand and respond to the changing IT risks within their environment. Our experience helps clients grow, manage, protect and, when necessary, transform their businesses. Together, we shape entire industries by applying the right technological solutions to real world problems.

We have several work streams within IT Controls Assurance for you to experience, which help EY clients on matters including improving their processes/governance policies and establishing future focused control strategies. Across all the work streams, you will be given the opportunity to lead meetings, identify issues, and propose solutions as you grow in your career. You will work with different people from different levels and be exposed to a range of different environments.

As a graduate, your diversity of thought will only strengthen our work within this incredibly varied business area.

Assurance

Auditing an EY client includes understanding the key business and financial risks facing our clients and the markets they operate in, reviewing processes, designing tests and verifying accounting treatments and numbers, all whilst complying with accounting and auditing standards. We audit clients across a number of sectors including tech, pharma, banking, wealth and asset management, aircraft leasing, government, media, telecoms and construction. We are very proud of the fact that we audit 68% of the tech companies in the Irish market.

Through ground-breaking technology tools, the COE drives disruption in the management of global statutory audits, provides business insights into our clients’ performance, and partners with our clients, as they move to world class statutory reporting structures.
