The opportunity

EY’s Rapid Innovation practice supports audit engagements across the MENA region both remotely and through travel to MENA offices. The opportunity is to assist the organization in meeting its digital audit initiatives through the application of digital global audit methodology (GAM), with the maximum number of clients possible, to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in audit across the MENA region.

Your key responsibilities

As a member of the digital audit team, you will be required to provide coaching, on-site training, feedback and guidance to audit teams across MENA region, in the areas of digital GAM, robotics process automation (RPA) and smart automation. This includes overseeing and reviewing the digital work performed by the nearshore team members, before discussing with the onshore audit teams, to ensure correct application of digital GAM. You will also need to help the audit teams identify internal control matters and business improvements in the form of client Insights / management letters.

Acting as a subject matter expert (SME) on digital audit automation matters / RPA, you will engage with the global teams to develop training materials and assist in the management of the manager assessment center (MAC) in MENA, in addition to performing any other audit transformation tasks as requested by the MENA regional digital implementation team.

This role also facilitates cross border and on-site training for new hires across the MENA region, on the use of data analytics tools which include general ledger analyzer, sub ledger analyzer, in addition to digital GAM, robotic process automation and other audit transformation initiatives.

Design and performance of user acceptance testing (UAT) for new and existing tools relating to data analytics and RPA whilst liaising with the GDS team is also essential to this role.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• A strong academic record, including a bachelors degree, or a completed professional accounting qualification, such as ACCA, CA, ACA, CPA
• At least six years of professional experience in external audit, with a big 4 audit firm
• Strong communication skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Track record with a leading international audit firm
