This client facing role will report to the SDL and have responsibility for collaborating with the respective Annual Financial statements AFS controller and assisting in managing the delivery of the statutory accounts.

This will include

  • Partnering with the EMEA AFS controllers to set key delivery dates
  • Timely updates on progress to key stakeholders
  • Guide, instruct and support back office resources on guidance instructed by AFS controllers
  • Be proficient with software tool
  • Assist in providing solutions as needed with AFS controllers
  • Drive standardisation where possible and attend workshops to this end
RESPONSIBILITIES

The following tasks are the key deliverables. 

  • As the lead you will ensure timely delivery of all statements and support offshore team with the following items
  • Delivery of agreed GAAP Adjustment re class calculation into AFS software tool and SAP per agreed guidelines.
  • Manage any future entity country transition that fits the requirements of the AFS model. Lead offshore team to ensure documentations are in agreed DTP format.
  • Continuous improvement of Audit pack, liaising with stakeholder to suggest more efficient processes
  • Support AFS software Tool configuration with client support
  • Maintenance of account mappings and AFS notes
  • Uploads of trial balances, adjustments to tool and generation of statements from tool
  • Other configuration run support as required
  • Improve Initiate, manage and get involved in projects to improve process efficiency and effectiveness, reengineering processes as necessary. This can range across a broad spectrum of financial activities and will involve interaction with client for sign off.
  • Coach Collaborate with peers to ensure team are competent and have skillset to complete tasks. Where improvement is needed, flag and close gap.
  • Manage Client Relationship with Financial Controller Team Ensure the Accenture team are complying with requirements

Qualifications
  • Qualifications Should Include University Degree in business, finance, accounting or equivalent qualification would be preferable. 
  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA 
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years financial statutory accounting experience including having played a central role in a financial reporting or statutory accounting team, demonstrating ability to prepare management and financial accounts to external audit, SOX and Internal Controls and Compliance standard. Multinational and Multicurrency experience a distinct advantage 
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, working knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
