Role Requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of Balance Sheet reconciliations and accounting.
  • Ability to deliver to quality standards and deadlines.
  • Strong Communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to influence others.
  • Part Qualified Accountant or QBE.

  • Responsibility for ensuring all Balance Sheet reconciliations and accounting processes adhere to RSA Quality standards and are completed within deadlines.
  • The jobholder will be required to have attention to detail, and the ability to manipulate volumes of data to make improvements to current processes, along with the skills to stand back and see the bigger picture and bring together detailed information to report and present clear, concise Management Information packs at a summary level to various levels within the organisation.
  • The role will also require strong time management, communication and organisational skills, as we adhere to various monthly deadlines and have a number of stakeholders. Jobholder will also have the desire to challenge and drive change and improvement across current processes to deliver enhanced customer service and business results.
  • Working with own team and others to ensure the quality of accounting processes and Balance Sheet reconciliations are maintained.
  • Analysing high volumes of data to understand and remediate reconciliations.
  • The role will involve providing expert support, coaching and instruction in technical areas to team members. Identifying any knowledge gaps and working with Accounting Operations Lead to plan and deliver training. The jobholder will also handle more complex areas of work and monitor individual and team progression towards the achievement of targets.
