Trainee Tax Accountant-Hybrid
Zurich Insurance Company are currently recruiting for a Trainee Tax Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a trainee or part-qualified tax or finance professional to join a multi-faceted tax team. The successful candidate will work on tax issues across the spectrum, focusing on compliance and working with all areas of the insurance businesses receiving exposure to all tax heads.
Your Role
As a Trainee Tax Accountant your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of corporation and deferred tax provisions on a quarterly basis
Assist with VAT, premium taxes and VIES compliance
Analysis of reported taxes
Liaising with finance and business colleagues who own systems producing tax-relevant output
Communicating relevant tax legislation amendments, determining their impact on the business, systems and procedures
Assist with queries from internal and external stakeholders
Always seeking opportunities for efficiencies and process improvements
Ongoing review of controls and compliance procedures
Your Skills & Experience
As a member of the Tax team your skills and qualifications will include:
An interest in tax as a career is important
Work Experience in a finance/tax/insurance an advantage
Business/Finance Degree or equivalent
Strong MS Excel skills
Team player
Excellent attention to detail
Additional Information
Primary work location is Blackrock based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
