  • Logical thinking and ability to solve IT-related problems
  • Understanding of IT processes and their impact on the business
  • Highly developed interpersonal/consulting skills and ability to work with senior stakeholders (CxO and C-1 level)
  • Qualified IT generalist or an expert on 1-2 of areas below, with solid knowledge on others:
    • IT operating models,
    • Business applications (e.g., ERP, CRM),
    • IT Architecture, Enterprise Architecture,
    • Software architecture, frameworks, and delivery methods (SDLC),
    • Network and IT infrastructure (cloud environment will be an advantage),
    • Data management, data migration and reconciliation,
    • IT Licenses, licensing models, incl. IP rights and constraints,
    • IT security / cybersecurity,
  • Good understanding of IT financials (OPEX, CAPEX, budgeting process)
  • Languages:
    • Polish language as a native or min. C2 level
    • Fluency in English (min. C1 level) – both written (writing reports) and spoken (we work daily in English, including clients’ meetings)
    • other languages will be an advantage (especially German)
  • University degree (B.Sc. or higher) on IT or associated field
  • Experience (6+ years) in consulting environment and/or M&A, audit or related areas is a strong benefit, but not essential
  • Experience in managing IT Department (as an IT Director / IT Manager / IT Lead or similar) is also treated as an advantage
  • Obtained certificates (project management, process management, cloud, security, other IT-related) are highly desired

Your future role

  • Client support during the M&A process, especially on the pre-deal phase (IT Due Diligence, Technology Due Diligence, Vendor Support, Synergy assessment)
  • Evaluation of the company’s IT strategy, systems and business applications, organization, IT infrastructure and security, during the transaction processes
  • Verification of IT costs and budgets, including cost synergies that may occur with the transaction
  • Identification of gaps and risk associated with IT enablement, IT maturity and IT technical debt
  • Advising clients by bespoke recommendations and risk mitigation strategy in a context of transaction
  • Leading project team on delivery and cooperation with other project teams (financial, commercial) during project execution
  • Involvement in business development activities (client meetings, proposals, project pipeline build development of internal capabilities and offering)

Technology M&A Team supports clients during international M&A transactions from the IT perspective. We specialize in preparing M&A strategy, conducting due diligence, and post-merger integration. We deal with both full acquisitions and carve-outs. Our advisory covers technological areas, such as analysis and improvement of the current IT strategy, assessment of the capabilities of available applications and IT infrastructure (integrations and scalability), review and improvement of internal IT processes, increasing the level of cyber security, and regulatory compliance.
