The Role; Exciting opportunity in Insurance and Actuarial!

We are currently looking for an Actuarial Analyst to join our Risk Consulting team at KPMG.

Roles & Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be involved in the following areas:

  • Assist in the compilation and analysis entailed by Actuarial function holder engagements for a pool of insurance clients
  • Assist with the preparation of solvency capital calculations for the purpose of the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment Reports
  • Support the actuarial reviews for our insurance audit clients for both the IFRS and Solvency II audits
  • Assist with the provision of actuarial support to the Internal audit team
  • Assist with actuarial matters involved in the implementation of IFRS 17
  • Contribute to thought leadership through written publications, training events, client seminars and conferences
  • Support the KPMG network in actuarial opportunities with the possibility of both remote and physical secondments
  • Other actuarial opportunities as they arise

The Right Fit

  • Possess a recognised degree or similar qualification in Mathematics/ Statistics or a degree with a significant mathematical content OR a current/aspiring student of the IFoA
  • Experience in a similar role, or within the insurance industry will be considered as an asset
  • Strong technical and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent coordination skills and an ability work alongside the other team members
  • Capability to work on concurrent engagements and develop productive relationships with clients
  • Flexibility and an enjoyment of working on challenging projects, and interacting with teams from other business groups

The following would be considered an asset:

  • Data & analytics skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of non-life insurance products
  • Solvency II knowledge and experience
  • IFRS 17 knowledge
