Diabetes Clinical Audit Facilitator - ENHIDE
Part-time - 16 hrs per week
The East and North Herts Institute of Diabetes and Endocrinology (ENHIDE), are one of the largest Diabetes Specialist Teams within a District General Hospital in the UK, providing a high standard of care across three hospital sites.
We are currently seeking a Diabetes Clinical Audit Facilitator to provide support to the Diabetes and Endocrinology team by assisting with and overseeing Diabetes CA&E projects and all necessary tasks related to ensure the delivery of a robust Clinical Audit & Effectiveness (CAE) Programme for the Trust.
To ensure the timely collection, accurate uploading, production, monitoring and dissemination of information and reports from the (CA) and (CE) databases as requested by the CD or LN
Main duties of the job
Our Clinical Audit & Effectiveness Facilitators will work within the team providing guidance, support and assistance with clinical audit, quality improvement and NICE gap analysis action plans.
They play a key role in helping to drive service improvement by monitoring and providing progress updates to the Divisions and the Trust.
They act as the main contact point between the CAE Team and the designated clinical specialties with which they are 'linked'.

Providing support and enabling Trust staff with clinical audit projects (Audit).
Providing support to clinicians with measuring compliance against NICE, national guidance and national audit report recommendations (Effectiveness).
Monitoring and performance reporting audit and effectiveness progress.
The production of complex reports for the divisions and other external organisations.
To work with many workforce teams to guide and nurture capable application of clinical audit and quality improvement techniques
Deliver education for clinical audit methodology to clinical and non-clinical staff groups.
Support the engagement and empowerment of patient and carer involvement in improving quality.
An excellent working knowledge of all aspects of MS Office including Access and Excel coupled with an understanding of the clinical audit and effectiveness processes are essential skills for this role.
