What you'll be doing
The role is responsible for leading the provision of strategic insight, analysis and advice to the business on the optimisation of resources. The role will also be responsible providing high level specialised / technical support for the management of the budgets process to support the efficient and effective operation to achieve business and service objectives.

Selection Criteria
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, business, finance (or related subject) and relevant post graduate qualifications such as membership of a professional accounting body (e.g CA, CPA).
  • Proven experience in, and demonstrated record of sound achievement and leadership at senior management level in a large and complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in management accounting, including but not limited to the development of financial forecasts, budgets and reporting, monitoring and providing oversight on performance.
  • Experience in operationalising key finance, performance and business strategies to achieve agreed outcomes, with demonstrated high-level analytical skills using financial, human resources and management data systems to pro-actively improve business performance.
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to utilise data systems, including the ability to analyse data to aid decision making, manage and monitor information and report on performance against both financial and non-financial KPIs.
  • Proven high-level interpersonal skills including proven ability to communicate clearly, negotiate persuasively, facilitate and express ideas clearly and coherently, both orally and in writing and influence key stakeholders to achieve the required outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, lead and manage a team at a senior level in the organisation with the ability and experience to achieve desired outcomes within specific deadlines and approved resource allocation.
  • Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
