Global Consolidation Controller

The Global Consolidation Controller is the main coordinator of the Group companies in terms of consolidation, reporting and accounting matters. You analyze and review the financial reporting packages in order to release accurate and faithful Group Consolidation accounts. You participate in the main projects and gives your expertise in terms of accounting treatment in line with IFRS compliance. The role is based in the Navi Mumbai office.

The client is a global leader in the Manufacturing and Production industry (building materials and solutions). Having a revenue of 25Bn USD and operating in over 70 countries. They are a globally listed entity and are focusing greatly on transforming their global shared service centre in Navi Mumbai.

Description

The responsibilities of the Global Consolidation Controller:

• Be the main coordinator of the Group companies in terms of consolidation, reporting and accounting matters.
• Manage and further develop group worldwide monthly consolidation of the group for actual closing; and for the budget and the 3 year mid-term plan
• Manage and further develop half year and Annual external reporting in accordance with IFRS and SIX/AMF exchange regulations and other financial information of the annual report
• Manage projects in connection with consolidation and reporting initiatives, lead and contribute to internal projects such as updating the consolidation and reporting software, improving the closing- and planning-processes and implementing new IFRS standards
• Analyze the Group's results, identify business relevant issues and perform ad-hoc reporting analysis for Group ExCo / Regional Management, Board and Audit Committee
• This is an individual contributor position

Profile

The successful Global Consolidation Controller:

• Qualified Accountant- CA/CPA/ACCA/CMA; having at least 8 years of post qualifiation experience
• Extensive consolidation experience dealing with a large number of entites/ global entites and multiple currency sets
• Strong IFRS knowledge
• Experience in a large MNC, Big 4
• Based in Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, or can relocate immediately
