Receivables Accountant

Mesora Group is a distribution company dealing with FMCG products with warehouses in Nairobi & Mountain regions.

We are seeking a hardworking, and competent Accountant to join our fast-paced finance department, to work with other departments to ensure that the correct amounts are collected promptly, verified, recorded, and facilitate uninterrupted business processes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Reconcile daily sales against collections.
• Provide credit control approvals.
• Reconcile the receivable ledgers to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Monitor debtor statements/balances to ensure a reduction in debtors' overdue days.
• Ensure credit and collection policies and procedures are strictly followed by Sales & delivery teams.
• Submit daily Debtor and collections management reports.
• Performing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, posting, and recording accounts receivables' data
• Preparing bank deposits
• Corresponding with customers and responding to inquiries

Minimum academic & professional qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• Professional qualification in accounting i.e.CPA K/ACCA
• 5 years of experience in FMCG or busy commercial environment, within the receivables function.
• Experience in high-volume debtor collections is a plus
• Practical experience in working with an ERP and MS Excel.
• Must be a self-starter, organized, honest, detail-oriented professional, and with strong analytical skills.
