Join our community.You'll be responsible for the consolidation, control and submission of the consolidated financial information for +150 UK legal entities to both Santander Group. As the Group Reporting Manager, you'll be an key point on contact to other internal stakeholders to support the preparation the San UK consolidated Financial Statements, MI information, analytical review and additional disclosures reported externally to the market both locally and at a Group level. - Leading a functional area, including negotiation, planning and direction of resource, budgeting, directing projects, coaching and technical development of staff and structural change.
- Contributing to the development of business strategic plans for specific parts of the business, and the development of department plans, ensuring alignment with overall finance strategy.
- Investigating and implement new approaches and techniques to report and reflect the direction of the Group.
- Monitoring and review the technical activities of functional area, including understanding policy requirements, assessment of implications and guidance to staff and executive management on their application.
- Developing and maintain business unit relationships with Executive Managers and Directors in order to discuss and resolve major issues. Provide financial and other technical advice to support business unit decision making
- Ensuring all statutory, internal and external reporting deadlines are met whilst maintaining integrity of information.
- You'll need to be an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant or equivalent
- Experience working within a Financial Service, and be a technical expert in the areas of Group consolidation, IFRS and Treasury accounting
- Ability to coach, mentor and manage other senior professionals and manage the knowledge base of the functional area.
- Experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships with Executives and Senior Managers, within and outside Finance through personal credibility and delivery of results
