Financial Accountant
An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant within Glanbia Business Services. This permanent position reports to the GBS Financial Controller.

Location
The base location of the role will be Dungarvan, Co Waterford, with hybrid working arrangements available through our Smart working model which allows you a greater choice in how you work and live, giving you a better work-life balance.
Elements of the Role may include:
- Preparation of monthly accounts to strict deadlines for inclusion in monthly group reporting
- Preparation of budget and forecast accounts to strict deadlines for inclusion in budget and forecast group reporting
- Day to day management of certain GBS Ledgers
- Pro-active approach to ongoing process improvement and development to reflect changing and evolving needs
- Key point of contact in relation to reporting queries for relevant GBS Ledgers
- On-going liaising with all key stakeholder groups
- Preparation of detailed Balance Sheet Reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly, bi-annual basis as required
- Other ad hoc finance project work as required
Qualifications
- Recognised Professional Accounting Qualification required and retained membership of the relevant accounting body
Skills & Experience
- 0 - 2 years relevant post qualification experience
- Knowledge of SAP and/or BCS would be an advantage
- Strong attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy of information
- Strong written communication and reporting ability with ability to communicate to stakeholders across various levels and functions
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and interact with people at all levels across the Group
- Proficient Microsoft Office Excel and Microsoft Office Word skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, ability to ensure tasks are finalised to strict deadlines
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative environment where the focus is on continuous improvement and the challenge to make it better
