Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Compensation Services Department at Apple. Our system roadmap is focused on driving optimisation through process, data and technology solutions. Join a dynamic team of experts passionate about the quality of the coordinated systems used by Apple employees, Business partners and Vendors within and outside of Apple. Ideally, you'll have excellent analytical skills along with the ability to analyse business requirements and current business process. You'll be able to present these requirements in clear detailed working user scenarios to ensure the system behaves in line with expectations, and be motivated and comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment. In addition, the successful candidate will be enthusiastic & enjoy getting down into the detail while working closely with multi-functional partner teams to ensure quality test execution through to handoff for deployment to users. The job will be varied, encompassing aspects of the project life cycle from requirement review through to systems release, focusing on the project cycles dedicated to quality assurance - readiness, script writing, entry/exit criteria, sanity/smoke, ticket management, test execution.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of related professional experience
  • Advanced MS Excel is required
  • Experience with Workday projects and deployments a distinct advantage.
  • Familiarity with coordinated Payroll solutions (ADP, PWC) is a particular advantage
  • Practical experience with timekeeping (WFM, Kronos) & payroll systems very desirable
  • Experience in working on sophisticated technology projects either as an analyst, business analyst or quality analyst
  • Expertise in HR operations, employee support and data administration
  • Key Attributes
  • Good understanding of QA methodologies & practices advantage
  • Experience analysing process to document steps required to implement a test (breaking down process/problems)
  • Appropriately triage a changeable workload, and rally the relevant teams to drive timely resolution
  • Experience in dealing with multi-functional teams in a multinational environment an advantage, e.g. working with engineering teams reproducing difficult issues
  • Ability to deliver timely and accurately in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • A standout colleague with superb attention to detail
  • Be very comfortable with ambiguity, and working independently
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills

Description

  • Quality advocate who will partner with business and technical teams to build comprehensive test plans for multi-functional systems projects, with particular focus on UAT
  • Participate in testing transformation activities by driving forward innovative approaches and methodologies
  • Seek expertise and involve the right experts for the best testing outcomes
  • Schedule planning meetings and activities for UAT preparation and execution
  • Facilitate identification of test scenarios and ensure requirements traceability
  • Cultivate healthy debate and seek to understand multiple perspectives
  • Ability to think from a customer’s perspective to create ‘what if’ scenarios (i.e. evaluates different scenarios to determine system behaviour under unexpected situations)
  • Find opportunities to use automation for test prep and execution
  • Utilise analytical skills to investigate and drive resolution of issues found in UAT activities
  • Report progress on UAT activities and issues to the project team and to management
  • Effectively lead meetings and communicate resulting actions
  • Approach problems flexibly, and be willing to adapt and modify your approach, without compromising on the outcome.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of related professional experience in a large international organisation.
