Institutional Bank & Markets Finance (IB&M Finance) supports the business in providing financial control, financial analysis and insight, product control, regulatory accounting and related project and strategy implementation support.

IB&M Finance Singapore is responsible for the end-to-end finance function for CBA Singapore’s operations including financial control, regulatory reporting, management reporting, statutory reporting and taxation across all business units. Responsibility includes monthly performance reporting, month end accounting, General Ledger balance sheet reconciliations, local regulatory reporting and other special tasks and projects of the IB&M businesses in Asia across the full product range.

Do work that matters

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager - Singapore, the Assistant Manager Finance will ensure a robust financial control framework exists and operates effectively to safeguard the IB&M business. You will act as business partner by providing financial and non-financial management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, operational support, analytical insight and decision support to our business partners.

More specifically, you will:

• Provide insightful analysis of Branch monthly performance, across both P&L and Balance sheet components
• Balance sheet substantiation
• Month End ledger close
• MAS regulatory reporting
• Daily regulatory monitoring
• Oversee the AP process
• Help with the group consolidation process
• Assist in the Branch CFO with tax related matters
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of product source system data interfacing the general ledger
• Liaise with Front Office, Operations, Market Risk, and other stakeholders to resolve issues
• Ongoing enhancements to improve efficiency and controls and add value to the business
• Positively contribute and collaborate with the Finance team including assistance in statutory and regulatory reporting commitments
• Positively contribute to performance culture

We’re interested in hearing from people who are:

• Tertiary Qualified
• Qualified accountant in ACA/ACCA/CA
• Able to problem solve
• Able to communicate clearly, particularly with regard to technical work to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong in financial and regulatory reporting
• Previously experienced in taxation (will be highly regarded)
• Able to innovate and drive process improvements
• Strong in Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills
• Proficient in SQL/VBA as this would be an added bonus
