Reporting into the Chief Portfolio Officer (CPO) the role of the Manager, Portfolio Management and Delivery Assurance is to track, analyse, coordinate, and advise on the VBA Portfolio of Work. This leadership role is a key connection between the governance functions and the delivery functions and will perform the secretariat role for the Portfolio Governance Committee (PGC).

As the Manager, Portfolio Management and Delivery Assurance has line management responsibility for a portfolio resource and scheduler, portfolio co-ordinators, and has overall responsibility for a portfolio schedule, resource analysis, portfolio co-ordination activities, and other PMO leadership activities.

What we are looking for:
  • Proven experience as a PMO Manager covering portfolio, leadership and support functions, including internal project audits, quality assurance checks (health checks) and managing a multidisciplinary portfolio of work using a gated methodology.
  • Ability to build and maintain constructive relationships with a range of complex internal and external stakeholders, including the ability to influence, negotiate with tact and diplomacy, and influence strategic outcomes.
  • Proven ability to establish systems and procedures, proactively identify opportunities for generating workplace innovation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and taking responsibility for initiating outcomes

The Building Systems Technology division is responsible for the delivery of a large digital transformation uplift across the organisation. The digital transformation uplift will renew and consolidate systems and develop a capability for the VBA to use data surveillance and analytics.
