Business Analyst - We're currently recruiting for a Fund Accounting Analyst to join our fund accounting team to provide a comprehensive range of business analysis services to support delivery of the change portfolio and the business outcomes outlined in the business cases.

Salary: £32-38k. Annual bonus 8-16%, 10% Non-Contributory Pension (matched up to a further 2%), 38 days holidays

Description of role
- To be responsible for the preparation and delivery of high quality and timely financial management information for allocated funds and processes.
- To ensure the integrity of the all policy accounting, bank related transactions, expenses and reporting adjustments for IFRS and sii etc... for all allocated funds into the general ledger.
- To communicate effectively with key stakeholders to ensure the timely clearance of suspense items, reconciliation of outstanding items and to make process improvement/fixes to eradicate route causes.
- Work closely with wider team to support completion of key organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- To produce reliable and accurate review of Trial Balance for allocated funds including: Reconciliation status with high level commentary, ensuring adherence to the controls guidelines.
- Liaise with the Fund Accountants to obtain the information required and challenge the information provided and ensure it is of the standard required in delivering information to Senior Management.
- Follow a continuous process improvement approach in the role you undertake.
- Improve financial awareness and knowledge throughout the team.
- Provide accurate and timely information to, and support and build strong relationships with our key stakeholders.
- Support Fund Accountant in clearing Financial Control issues.
- Process GL adjustments for the allocated fund, ensuring full understanding of the processes and balances.
- Assist the Fund Accountant in the completion of internal and external financial information such as Analytical Review packs, regulatory returns and reporting period deliverables.
- Investigation of unusual items/balance.
- Complete review of OSP reconciliations, ensure processes are fully understood and question unusual/ unexpected balances and ensure clearance of reconciling differences. Highlight areas of concern in the monthly review meetings.

What We're Looking For

A proactive and tenacious individual with a keenness to learn and confidence to communicate and work as part of a wider team.
Essential
- Experience in using Excel and ledger based software such as (Oracle, SAP etc...)
- Qualified or studying for accountancy qualification.
- Double entry book keeping basics.
- Language - English

Desirable
- Financial services experience.
- Understanding of long term savings business.
