Our client, a high profile FTSE 250 listed Heathcare organisation are seeking a qualified Group Reporting Accountant to join their growing team based in Reading.
Description
The role is focused on enabling the business to meet statutory and regulatory obligations and to promote best practice with financial reporting, ensuring compliance with the latest accounting principles and emerging international best practice. The Group Reporting Accountant will also assist with various process improvement projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Supporting the delivery of interim and year end reports
· Preparation of disclosures for interim statements and annual report.
· Responsible for disclosures, technical aspects and production of statutory accounts for subsidiary companies. Includes preparation of operating company statutory accounts
· Support the external audit for group and statutory reporting - being a key point of contact for detailed queries.
· Assisting with process improvement of the Group intercompany accounting.
· Overseeing provisions for the Group, including managing budget to actuals on key projects.
· Participation in month end close, with both preparation and review of journals.
· Assist in the month end close and monthly reporting to the board, including two minority interests and quarterly calls with the minority interest directors to explain the numbers.
· Review of current process and seek continuous improvement
· Assist in the implementation of UK SOX controls
· Ad hoc projects as they arise.

· Prioritise outstanding issues in order to best meet outstanding and potentially conflicting business needs.
· Get into the detail in order to solve problems and to establish and improve robust processes.
· Offer suggestions and improvements on current processes, reporting and systems to their line manager for consideration.
