The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Act as project lead in the onboarding / implementation of new business activity within Fund Accounting.
- Responsible for outlining Fund Accounting onboarding requirements to clients/ other relevant stakeholders and tracking until completion. (this includes participating in project calls/ workshops throughout the lifecycle of the project)
- Review of legal documentation pertaining to new business activity and in relation to change on existing fund structures.
- Oversight of static data set up’s completed by Offshore location.
- Support and influence operating model discussions to ensure client needs are met without introducing undue risk to the business.
- Provide SME support to internal and external stakeholders in relation to Fund Accounting activities.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients to maximise their onboarding experience.
- Maintain positive and interactive relationships with internal stakeholders such as Project Management, Transfer Agency, Custody, Technology, Currency Management, Client Services, Legal and Sales.
- Support Onshore and Offshore Fund Accounting teams post go live to ensure quality product delivery through efficient issue resolution and proactive client engagement.
Skills/ Qualifications:
- Previous fund accounting experience desirable.
- Detailed Knowledge of Enterprise and related Fund Accounting applications preferred.
- Analytically and procedurally competent to represent the team on project deliverables with impeccable attention to detail.
- Understanding of how Fund Accounting systems/ processes link and interface with other applications and an appreciation of how to implement such interfaces.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to break down complex processes / challenges and articulate clearly across all levels.
- Proven ability to deliver best in class client service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to proactively identify challenges and present solutions.
- A strong sense of accountability.
- Demonstrates willingness to collaborate within and outside the direct team to achieve results.
- A self-starter with strong problem solving skills.
- Organizational skills are needed to organise own workload and establish priorities.
- Ability to support and provide input into long term strategy for department.
- Experience with vendors an advantage (Bloomberg, Reuters etc).
- Demonstrates good knowledge of standards and procedures required for own tasks
- Excellent PC skills especially MS Excel.
- Third level qualification or pursuing a professional accounting qualification an advantage but not required.
