Working within the Kerry Applied Health & Nutrition business, the role of the Commercial Finance Analyst will support the ETS team by providing information and analysis to help with decision making, with a focus on performance measurement and analytical responsibilities.
Kerry operates a Hybrid working policy, candidates will be required to come to our offices in Naas as required.
What will I be doing?
- Provide relevant insights and analysis to the Finance Manager and wider Commercial Business team
- Quarterly and annual pricing, understanding build of materials and relevant movements
- Understand & explain business performance vs budget, LYR & strategic plans for region analysing key customers, end use markets, channels, destination, trends etc
- Challenge information and supporting commentary provided by the business ensuring that it is accurate, relevant, meaningful, and articulate
- Liaise with Financial Reporting, Integrated Operations, and Central Commercial Finance teams to ensure that the business units are reporting correct revenues and gross margins
- Support strategic planning initiatives including review of performance vs plan challenging the delivery on our priorities for growth and coordinating updates/refreshes to plan as required
- Support the Finance Manager with budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Support the Finance Manager with month end reporting cycle
- Month end presentations on Site and Business performance
- Support regular measurement and review of KPIs/MIPs to maintain relevance of KPI targets
- Challenge performance of key KPIs benchmarking both internally & externally (e.g., vs other regions, businesses etc.)
What do I need to be successful?
In Kerry we understand that people have very different career trajectories and experiences. In order to be successful in this role we would be looking for the right competencies and aptitudes as well as your proven track record of success in a similar role and environment.
These include:
- Accountancy finalist (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with some relevant working experience
- Business Analysis experience including reporting on key variances and highlighting trends
- FMCG experience preferential but not essential
- Excel and PowerPoint skills (intermediate level – manipulating data, pivots etc.)
