Senior Internal Audit – Integrated Commodity Trading Company

This is a full-time, permanent corporate position with a leading commodity company that covers the full spectrum of the audit function for trading, shipping and assets across the region.

With a strong foundation in Audit, this person would be an audit advisor to the business units, independently construct audit plans, identify the root cause of issues and advise on audit plans. The most crucial ability is leveraging their analytical skills and critical thinking to contribute significantly to the organization’s commercial growth.

• Formulate the audit strategy, including identifying audit resources, and executing internal audits across different functions and business units within SE Asia
• Compile key information necessary in maintaining strong internal control, interpret and present data to stakeholders, recommend and implement a risk-based approach
• Work with auditors to identify and agree upon the root cause of issues and corresponding remedial actions
• Monitor the progress of the management’s corrective actions in a consultative capacity
• When required, lead and perform internal reviews and investigations to conclusion independently
• Be the point of contact for continuous improvement projects and initiatives for audit and internal controls in a hands-on approach to validate processes, identify, evaluate and mitigate risks such as through enhancements in systems and IT automation

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree and relevant Audit qualifications
• 5-10 years of work experience in internal audit with MNCs in commodity trading or manufacturing/processing industry or Big 4
• Regional or global experience is highly advantageous
