Dematic has an exciting opportunity for a project accountant/ project controller (or a finance professional looking to further their career in project accounting) to join our EMEA Aftermarket (customer services) organisation.

The Project Controller will consolidate and will take real ownership and be responsible of the following topics for the UK Nordics market:
• Accounting & Compliance
• Project Control and Risk Management
• Reporting & Analysis
Main responsibilities:
- Conducts Month-end results validation and management reporting at Market level
- Drives improvements and actively manages change in his / her area of responsibility
- Assists MU Execution Market Leader with reviewing calculations and provides guidance as it relates to pricing Change Orders/Claims.
- Determines and presents the financial performance of projects at a P&L level (including CO, PVR, Volume impacts, and As-sold vs. As-executed/NCCs). Active participation in the Auditing process (internal/external) as responsible for the specific country/market
- Interprets project financial data and trends and then draws conclusions for further action / follow-up.
- Reviews project performance vs forecast and clearly articulates root cause of variance (after closing).
- Drives cashflow performance; ensures the billing plan reflects with the execution schedules, issues invoices asap when milestones achieved, drives action concerning overdue Accounts Receivable
- Ensure the respect of the quality Standard and Consistency of the figures reported
Tasks and Qualifications:
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Substantial experience working in project control (preferably within a services or engineering projects environment)
- Prior experience working with global / emea teams is a plus.
- Ability and experience working in a self-directed, proactive, results-oriented environment (large multinational company or large firm public accounting experience advantageous).
