This is a unique opportunity to join the Financial Crime Data Science and Analytics area. to be a Financial Crime Data Analyst in the Customer and Transaction Screening area. Our purpose is to combat financial crime with data, analytics, and data science to protect our customers and to help people and businesses to prosper.

A Financial Crime Data Analyst will be leading on various workstreams within FC Analytics team and perform analysis and FC model development. The role cover projects in Transaction Monitoring, Customer Risk Assessment, Customer Due Diligence, and other Financial Crime areas; will be expected to combine a wide range of technical skills with business knowledge to turn vast quantities of data into value.

The difference you'll make.

  • Building reproducible data pipelines in a big data environment & performing exploratory data analysis

  • Analysing data provisioning specification documents, identifying gaps in logic

  • Developing code, design, experiment, and evaluating implementation performance

  • Communicating with business customers with various levels of technical knowledge, educating them, as well as sharing insights and recommendations

  • Producing and managing process documentation

  • Interacting with internal stakeholders in financial crime controls operations, regulatory governance, and front office.

What you'll bring.

  • Proficiency of Python and SQL

  • Experience with distributed computational frameworks (Impala, Hive, Scala, Spark, Hadoop)

It would also be nice for you to have.

  • Experience in design and implementation of production code

  • Experience cleaning and transforming datasets and using APIs

  • Experience developing visual analytics (matplotlib, MicroStrategy, Tableau, etc.)

  • Experience with GitLab or other version control systems

What else you need to know.

We will be conducting all interviews via telephone or video-conference where possible.

This role is currently home based and offers hybrid working.

This is a permanent position.
