Responsibilities:Prepare and execute payroll for multiple clients including collecting data from timesheets and rosters andinputting data on payroll software;Determine tax obligations by calculating taxes and Social Security contributions and liaising with the Taxdepartment where relevant;Adhere to payroll policies and procedures and complies with relevant law;Assist in GDPR matters relating to Payroll/Employee Data;Carry out due diligence/KYC checks for payroll clients;Keep abreast of new regulations/updates related to payroll;Liaise with clients’ requests and queries;Perform the distribution of wages through the issuance of cheques or direct transfers to employees’ bank accounts;Assist clients with the onboarding and offboarding process of their employees including submission of employeeinformation to JobsPlus;Ensure that client employee records are kept up to date and in line with employment and data protectionregulations;Ensure to keep proper filing of documentation;General administrative work and other duties emanating from the role.Assisting in other financial, accounting, banking, and fiscal duties, as may be directed by the line manager fromtime to time.Requirements:A minimum A-Level standard of education with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role;Holders of Payroll and/or HR-related qualifications will be given preference;
Knowledge of one or more payroll software tools coupled with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel;Knowledge of Maltese Employment law and HR systems such as BambooHR, Indigo and the like, would beconsidered an asset;A quality driven customer service attitude, ready to work with different clients and surpassExcellent ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written;A proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal departments ensuringlines of communication remain open;Ability to work as part of a team, assisting others where necessary to ensure all deadlines are met;Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision;Ability to prioritize between different clients and deadlines according to urgency and ability to multi-task.
