Who are we looking for

We are looking for graduates and experience finance professionals for who will be required to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of relevant work processes and a broad understanding of related and interfacing activities to provide effective management of Funds/Custody/Clients. This should include strong operational knowledge of Fund of funds, fund of hedge funds, trade settlement, reconciliation, and ancillary custody products / services. The successful candidate will work from the Drogheda office. Experienced professionals will be expected to direct and plan the department’s activities with a major focus on department strategy, change management, resource planning and development, client relationship management and risk reduction.

Role available and what you will be responsible for

Fund Accountant

  • Manage the accounting NAV delivery process for allocated clients ensuring that all deliverables are quality controlled and delivered on time, in accordance with client service level agreements. Key responsibilities include:
  • NAV production and dissemination
  • Cash and Stock escalation
  • Client and regulatory reporting
  • Accounting query resolution
  • Error resolution and reporting
  • Staff training
  • Review and update department operational processes, to ensure controls remain effective and mitigate operational risk wherever possible.
  • Collaborate with teams across our global operating model to service our clients.
  • Manage team members and actively participate in their personal and career development
  • Collaborate with Transformation design initiatives to identify and create efficiencies through technological enhancements and development.

Custody Specialist

  • As a Custody Specialist you will Promote collaboration with internal departments
  • Contribute to local, regional of global initiatives/projects as necessary in order to expand network and support common objectives
  • Responsible for staff recruitment, engagement and development
  • Monitor and comply with changes to the 'risk' escalation chain including communicating amendments to staff where need e.g.. issues and suspicious transactions
  • Manage own continued professional development, through engaging in the process and attending relevant training as per the development pathways
  • Proactively acts to understand client needs and identify solutions to non-standards tasks/queries.
  • Perform other duties as required

Client Service Operations Specialist

  • Ensure excellent level of service provided to all clients serviced by the team
  • Oversight of the NAV calculation process and ensuring accuracy of the NAV
  • Timely escalation of issues
  • Resolve client queries
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all assigned tasks
  • Ensure that sufficient controls are in place for all deliverables
  • Ensure that detailed procedures are in place for all tasks
  • Work with manager to ensure appropriate allocation and sharing of work within team
  • Continuously review processes to make sure best of breed tools are used and that processes are as efficient as possible.
  • Foster collaboration with colleagues, clients and external parties
  • Attend and contribute to client service calls
  • Oversee any direct reports
  • Ad hoc projects as directed

Derivatives Specialist

  • Take responsibility for the quality of service to assigned clients.
  • Perform and/or monitor quality and internal controls for all team deliverables.
  • Plan and manage the daily processes and service delivery deadlines, through the effective utilization of resources with the support of the Officer.
  • Ensure that monthly Key Performance Indicator tracking is produced and submitted for final review.
  • Review Bank standard operating procedures and controls, and evaluate the continuing effectiveness of these as they relate to the team’s funds. Ensure documentation exists for any client-specific procedures.
  • Monitor errors and complaints. Record as appropriate.
  • Participate in the development, testing and implementation of new systems and products.
  • Co-ordinate and implement training and development activities for individuals and the team.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with clients, third parties and colleagues, communicating effectively through formalized reporting and ad hoc liaison.
  • Take responsibility for the quality and timeliness of client service & contracted deliverables to assigned client(s).
  • Where client initiatives involve the need to amend the current process, liaise with the appropriate subject matter experts to ensure full understanding of current vs. future state and potential gaps/business impacts that may require project support.
  • Identify issues and problems with client delivery and carry out necessary corrective action, keeping Senior Ops Manager team and Client Relationship Manager informed of issue

Transfer Agency Specialist

  • Review cash, end of day and sign off on checklist to ensure full reconciliation of all cash accounts.
  • Review of the ‘Dealing Date Report’ to ensure all trades are accurately booked in ISS.
  • Responsible for monitoring and tracking team activity against all shared mailboxes and assisting the team with queries.
  • Identify key priorities within the team on a daily basis and assign appropriately to ensure delivery of all tasks.
  • Actively manage day to day relationship with the clients, escalating issues to their Manager when required.
  • Closely liaising with the AML team reviewing and monitoring anti money laundering documentation in line with policies and procedures.
  • Day to day performance management of the team, one to one meetings and annual performance cycle ensuring development and review of staff against goals.
  • Actively partake in the recruitment process to effectively resource team.
  • Act as a point of escalation for the team for technical and client queries providing an efficient and swift service to Investors.
  • Foster and act as a role model to build risk awareness within the team.
  • Proactively seek greater productivities in the team through process improvements & automation where applicable.
  • Participate in department wide training efforts – draft and deliver training course and facilitate ‘on the job’ training.
  • Take on a review function – trade, cash, EOD, reporting checklists and online e-checklists.

Qualifications

  • Primary Degree or a Professional or Accounting qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working in the provision of fund Accounting, Fund administration services or have worked in another aspect of the Financial Services Industry for a number of years.
  • In-depth knowledge of derivative products and market practices required
  • Knowledge of accounting for derivative products
