Overall objective and responsibilities

Job purpose

KPMG Managed Services team is hiring Diector / Associate Director – Consulting (Managed and Outsourced Services) role for Muscat, Oman and Dubai, UAE locations.
As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to work with leading global corporate institutions and advise them on their core finance processes within key areas such as:

  • Solutioning, transition and outsourced operations expertise in Finance & other SG&A / Service Operations functions along with deep advisory experience
  • Solution design experience for different types of back office / service operations
  • Designing transition and operating models for back-office operations, IT service management and other SG&A functions
  • Shared Services/GBS setup and transformation experience
  • Technology-Enabled Finance and back-office functions
  • Finance Function Performance Assessment and Benchmarking
  • Automation and digitization of back-office operations
  • Experience of working in a global outsourcing pre-sales and solutions environment will be an added advantage / alternatively with Big 4 experience in consulting
  • Proven track record of building client relationship, participating in client orals, responding to client RFPs and ideating solutions for CFO organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate the business challenges and explain proposed solution
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with project teams
  • Strong analytical / MS Excel, Power BI, Problem Solving skills and Presentation/ PowerPoint expertise

Major duties and responsibilities

  • Evaluating client’s current state and defining a Target Operating Model including design for Finance and other back-office processes encompassing Record-to-Report, Planning Budgeting & Forecasting, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, management and statutory reporting etc.
  • Work as a transformation lead on engagements across the phases from assessment, and design through to implementation and benefits realization
  • Lead RFPs & engagements on Outsourcing Services, GBS/Shared Services
  • Thought leadership / white papers on the outsourcing and future of work collaboratively with minimal instructions
  • Analyze problems within back office / SG&A functions and convert it to a high-level solution design with technology and a business lens
  • Understand E2E Finance and other SG&A systems, architecture and the purpose and use of each functional component in the operations
  • Managing and analyzing data either using Excel or more advanced tools like SQL/ Alteryx / Power BI
  • Data migration of Finance systems (e.g. General Ledger, sub ledgers)
  • Run vendor management and selection process from defining to the requirements, and drafting the RFP to assess and summarizing the outcome to the client

  • Master’s Degree in Business from a top tier college
  • Professional qualifications such as: CPA / CA / ICWA / CMA / CIMA / ACCA etc.
  • 10 to 15 years of total work experience and 5+ years of relevant work experience in GBS/Shared Services (Preferably from Big 4 or other consulting / outsourcing firms)
