We are looking for a passionate and highly enthusiastic Bookkeeper to join our team in Great Yarmouth.

As a Bookkeeper working within our Gorleston office, the role will be covering all basic accounts work and provides an opportunity to develop bookkeeping skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Bookkeeper duties will be:

Full training will be given and for the right candidate it is an opportunity to begin a prosperous career with excellent training and progression working for an award winning firm.

With Haines Watts you will:

  • Processing supplier and debtor's invoices and ensuring timely supplier payments
  • Balancing accounts and bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of VAT returns and EC Sales List submissions
  • Monitor VAT deadlines
  • Assist with the preparation of management accounts
  • Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients
  • Monitoring aged listings
  • Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
  • Ad hoc duties
  • Have an opportunity to progress!

Experience/ qualifications

You will ideally be AAT qualified or have a minimum of 2-3 years bookkeeping experience with external clients and have experience of using systems like cloud accounting software's.

The Bookkeeper will have the below skills:

  • Strong organisational skills and time management
  • Knowledge of Xero and Quickbooks online would be useful
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills
