We are seeking a dedicated professional Finance Business Partner to join our team on a 12 month contract. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Finance team and will be responsible for supporting the business to deliver our high growth ambitions.

Reporting into the Finance Controller and working for AMT-Sybex Group you will be responsible for working with the business to develop and deliver forecasts & targets for Products, monitor subsequent performance and provide accounting information within a high-performance culture. AMT-Sybex Group operates in a casual working environment and promotes both team and individual growth.

This role is primarily home based. AMT-Sybex Group operates across multiple geographical locations and therefore the role may require some travel.

To be successful in the role you will also need a high degree of personal initiative and the ability to interact with non-financial managers and employees at all levels.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a multi-faceted role, across AMT-Sybex Companies, where the post holder will be expected (but is not limited) to:

• Providing first class business partnering throughout the organisation, supporting sales teams and project managers in the effective implementation of:
  
  • Product P&Ls
  • Product budgeting and forecasting
• Support the effective deployment of the AMT bid financial management tool and support the sales team in bid preparation across Products
• Sales budget & periodic forecast preparation & review incl: Order Intake, Billing, Revenue
• Headcount & payroll budget & forecast
• Operating costs budget & forecast
• In-period performance monitoring with Customer Success Managers
• Staff billability & utilization monitoring
• Investment & cost effectiveness improvement development
• Product month end processing for Product P&L's
  
  • Sales Journals and DI / IFRS15 adjustments
  • Review and approve CFA Processing
  • Operating expense review
  • Supporting Balance Sheet control account reconciliations / reviews
• Product month end reporting
  
  • Actual v's Forecast & Budget & Outturn (P&L, Cash, CAPEX)
  • Profit Routemap
  • Business KPI reporting
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, processes and procedures
• Assist with, and as appropriate, lead on process improvement and change management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ideally previous experience in a Finance Business Partner role
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE / part-qualified with at least 5 years experience working successfully as a Finance Business Partner in a similar environment
• Commercial acumen and financial analysis skills
• Excellent IT skills including a high level of proficiency in Excel
• Previous experience of working in software (or other product business) is desirable
• Experience of Microsoft Great Plains software would be an advantage.
