You'd be an important part of our diversely talented, highly experienced team and work at the forefront of high-profile transactions. Our team sits at the heart of a global Valuation, Modelling & Economics network of over 1,500 specialists who deliver high quality advice through each phase of the transaction process.

The Opportunity

Underpinning everything is our focus on developing a talented team through investment in technical and commercial training and knowledge transfer. Within the team you could manage projects and be an integral part of larger projects, often involving multi-disciplinary teams. For the right candidate there is potential for excellent career progression. As part of your role you would work on a varied portfolio of Valuation and modelling engagements and get involved in activities to support the wider team. Our team has regional coverage and many of our engagements involve multi-national clients. There would likely be overseas travel.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a SaT Business Analytics Staff, you will join one of our most innovative groups. It's an opportunity to work alongside your colleagues on a diverse range of clients and sectors. Through your work here, you will develop highly sought-after analytical skills while solving a broad range of business issues for our clients.

Skills and Attributes for success

  • Strong Excel Skills - designing and building models as well as testing them; incorporating operational, tax, accounting and financing aspects across a range of sectors. Develop a strong understanding of Excel and how it can be applied to corporate finance
  • Logical thinking - you'll apply logical thinking and creative problem-solving skills to support resolution of issues
  • Attention to Detail - you'll review financial models under supervision and arrive at preliminary conclusions
  • Communication - Communicating effectively with the engagement manager, the client, and the wider team in a concerted effort towards delivering work products of the highest standard
  • Support - assisting senior team members in execution of the projects

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A bachelor's degree or master's degree in business, business analytics, finance, economics, applied mathematics, statistics, accounting, industrial engineering, operations research or related field
  • Passion for solving real business issues and gaining deep experience in various industries and functional areas (e.g., supply chain, operations, corporate finance)
  • PC proficiency, including MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence and support both colleagues and clients
  • A methodical approach to work and the ability to prioritize while working with a portfolio of projects, as well as creativity and problem-solving skills
  • An understanding of basic financial and business terminology
  • Flexibility and a willingness to travel

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Strong interpersonal skills and previous experience of working within a similar team
  • Financial modelling experience
  • CFA, ACCA certification or progress towards these or similar certifications
