Major duties:
- Providing analysis of the past/actual data and presenting relevant conclusions to the stakeholders
- Identifying areas in engagement management and reporting which needs improvement and suggest the changes
- Assistance on the Budgeting/forecasting processes related to the relevant service line
- Assistance on the Audit processes related to the relevant service line
- Owner of the Engagement related processes (Engagement set up, Financials, Closure) related to the relevant service line
- Owner of the presentations related to the financial performance of the relevant service line
- Day to day interaction with the operational team to ensure that the processes are smooth and efficient
- Analyze the actuals and the trends. Test and challenge the reported KPIs
- Actively communicate with other business partners and leverage the best practice to the team
- Acting as a project manager for the initiated projects
- Coaching and delegating the tasks to junior team members
Engagement management:
- Month end system close and reconciliations for the relevant service lines
- Review engagement performance (WIP, Revenue, Billings, Provisions, AR) and providing solutions to improve business performance
- Owner of engagement related tasks where finance involvement is needed through the engagement lifecycle
- Regular reviews of processes to increase efficiency and compliance
- Communication with the Operational team and engagement teams
- Proactively challenging processes and inefficiencies striving for constant improvement
Reporting, Accounting & Controls:
- Responsible for monthly financial packs for the relevant service line
- Analyze internal controls and suggest for improvements
- Providing insights of the reported numbers and test the accuracy
- Working closely with financial reporting team to establish best practices of getting highest quality data
Education requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA in Finance or Accounting
- Member of a recognized accounting body (CPA, CA, ACCA, CFA, etc.)
Work experience requirements:
- 4-6 years’ experience in a professional services organization
- Experience in a Finance function is a plus
Knowledge / Technical Skills:
- Ability to interrogate and interpret large volumes of data, provide insight into these results and to provide recommendations to management.
- Sound working knowledge of MS Office required
- Experience with ERP and BI systems anddata visualization
- Current knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and financial reports
- System implementation or Finance transformation experience desirable
- Should be familiar to the reconciliations and data preparation processes and requirements for the Audit.
