Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin's attractions and brands on a global scale , we are looking for a Business Analyst to join our IT team. This role will be based at our Madame Tussauds London office.

This role reports into the Head of Admissions Portfolio on a permanent basis.

About the Role...

The Business Analyst role, within MERLIN technology, acts as a conduit to and from the business. With primary focus on ticketing and admissions related projects, this individual will be leading work streams and undertaking business, functional and technical analysis to develop and support key projects.

  • Support the Head of Admissions Portfolio across a complex matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders and managing ambiguity and conflicting/overlapping priorities
  • Use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with the most effective, not obvious or easy, solutions
  • An ability to recognise process challenges within a business area and functional interdependencies
  • Support the Head of Admissions Portfolio on processes and governance
  • Maintain a positive attitude and seeks to influence others when implementing change
  • Supports the Project Manager to deliver mandatory project deliverables on time
  • Builds and maintains the confidence and trust of all those involved in a project
About You...

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and collaborates well with all levels of the business
  • Strong presentation/reporting skills - ability to synthesise complex information and communicate it in a concise and compelling manner
  • Understanding of the demands of the business and the IT environment and the potential impact they have on each other's processes
  • Experience working on IT BA activity within a customer facing function
  • Proven experience of leading projects in the Entertainment/Leisure industry
  • Proven experience of implementing complex projects
  • Knowledge and experience of implementing project management processes, methods, and tasks
  • Proven experience of BPM and process mapping tools
  • Understanding of IT systems and the ability to understand and review technical documentation, with support from the solution analysts as required
  • Experience in Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and SharePoint
  • Able to manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving capabilities, promptly and effectively
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
  • Analyse, validate, and communicate the requirements using appropriate documentation and modelling techniques
  • Encourage collaboration, cooperation, and trust within and across teams - balances own and team interests, resolving conflict and differences of opinion when required
  • To facilitate and participate in workshops, with key stakeholders and external service providers
  • Keep abreast of SharePoint so that it is used in the most appropriate way
