Job summary

Amazon seeks a Finance Analyst to support its growing European Amazon Advertising business and partner with the Account Management team in Europe. Amazon Advertising operates at the intersection of advertising and ecommerce and offers advertisers a rich array of innovative advertising solutions, including Sponsored Ads, Display, OTT/Video, Audio, and Custom Ads. These solutions leverage Amazon's innovations and insights to find, attract, and engage intended audiences throughout their daily journeys. This role is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing divisions within Amazon.

This role requires an individual with excellent business, communication, and technical skills. The candidate will leverage these skills to collaborate with various functions, including sales, product, the broader finance team, and senior leadership. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced, high- energy, and ever-changing environment. They will conduct in depth analysis to uncover opportunities or risks and help advise leadership across input metrics and strategic initiatives.

Key job responsibilities

1. Financial controllership, reporting and planning.

2. Partnership with the European Account Management advertising leadership team to develop long-range and annual operating plans.

3. Create insightful analysis that drives measurable improvement in revenue growth and/or profitability.

4. Develop and maintain ongoing metrics, reports, and dashboards which drive key business decisions.

5. Ensure robust mechanisms are in place to highlight emerging risks and opportunities to management.


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Commerce or similar discipline with analytical bias.
  • Previous professional experience in analytical position such as finance, online advertising, business analysis, or comparable analytics position
  • Proven experience with SQL, Excel
  • Excellent analytical skill, a passion for metrics and figures, and the ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture
