Do you want to be on the ground floor of the next billion dollar business at Amazon? Physical Store finance is looking a strong finance person to help achieve the triple digit growth planned for the business.

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Amazon Go Technologies Finance team. This role will be supporting the business development and account executive teams through pricing analysis, including free cash flow, NPV and multi-year payment terms, as well as working with various finance and technology teams to maintain accurate inputs for the pricing model.

This role will afford you the opportunity to drive the pricing process end-to-end from the initial customer contact through negotiations and concluding with the launch of the store. Your actions and support will be absolutely critical to the success of the team to build out a portfolio of stores as well as exceeding the financial targets for the program.

This role operates in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, and the successful candidate must have the ability to influence the decisions of senior leaders by using data and analysis to land the recommendation. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically in an ambiguous environment with many stakeholders and differing opinions. This individual should possess solid business judgment, strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a strong desire to dive deep into business problems and help solve them.

Key job responsibilities

Leverage a pricing calculator to build out store specific financial models for conversations with potential customers in conjunction with business development

Drive continuous improvement on the pricing calculator through automation, enhancements and updated assumptions

Partner with operations to build out Scope of Work for each store, including budgeting for capital expense, labor and operating expenses

Manage the financials for the portfolio of stores to ensure a positive IRR and NPV

Support deep dives on specific focus areas as requested by leadership


• 2+ years experience gained through analytically focused Finance roles within a commercial or consultancy setting.

• Demonstrated expertise building financial models and processes using MS Excel. Experience using PowerBI / PowerQuery is an advantage.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong report writing skills.

• Excellent analytical skills and a passion for metrics and data. Ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the bigger commercial picture.

• Bias for action and ability to prioritise effectively - managing delivery across multiple projects within work-life-harmony norms.

• Ability to invent and simplify processes and put in place tools to create efficiency and automation. By investing to reduce manual effort associated with BAU we gain more scope to focus on supporting business partners!
