Job Description 

Your field of responsibility

As a Projections Reporting Analyst, you will join the dynamic team managing the PACE projections aggregation database, the financial data hub for Credit Suisse’s stress testing and capital planning reporting. In addition to your technical expertise in the underlying Oracle/Hyperion tools, you will develop a deep understanding of Credit Suisse’s management reporting conventions, enabling you to provide key user and system support within the Projections Aggregation and Reporting team, as well as to partners across Finance, Risk, and Front Office. An experienced MIS reporting professional with a passion for teamwork, you will collaborate with accounting and reporting SMEs in the team to implement system changes and automate data controls. On an ongoing basis, you will support quarterly financial forecasting activities, including carrying out controls and producing both standardized and ad hoc reporting. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Carries out quarterly reporting production activities, including updating database hierarchies in the Oracle Data Relationship Management tool
  • Coordinate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts
  • Organize data into accessible reports and perform various types of analysis
  • Reconciles, balances ledgers, and compiles reports on a recurring basis; traces transactions through previous accounting actions to identify and accurate discrepancies
  • Establish and maintain coordinated and collaborative working relation with other teams
  • Assists with the preparation of reports. Uses data management systems to produce custom, recurring reports, requiring a working knowledge of the relationships of financial data
  • Performs and tests key internal controls, reconciliations, analyses, and reviews critical to reporting processes
  • Builds new controls and enhancing current controls to improve data analysis and review capabilities
  • Becomes a subject matter expert on data management for internal and external reporting requirements
  • Develops a working knowledge of the firm’s stress testing and forecasting methodologies and processes
  • Maintain detailed desktop procedures documentation in the form of run books and task lists

We are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated data analyst with exceptional MIS systems skills, including:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Accounting, or MIS with 5-7 years’ of proven experience in management reporting or data analysis
  • Intermediate or above PowerPoint & Excel skills required
  • Experience with Oracle suite, including Data Relationship Manager, Essbase, Hyperion Planning, and Experienced View, or similar business intelligence tools is desired but not required
  • Curiosity and willingness to stay up-to-date with emerging business, economic, and market trends
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Additional experience desired but not required: Axiom, PeopleSoft, Visio, Atlassian JIRA and Confluence, and R/Python coding
