Our team sits at the heart of a global Valuation, Modelling & Economics network of over 1,500 specialists who deliver high quality advice through each phase of the transaction process.

The Opportunity

Underpinning everything is our focus on developing a talented team through investment in technical and commercial training and knowledge transfer. Within the team you could manage projects and be an integral part of larger projects, often involving multi-disciplinary teams. As part of your role you would work on a varied portfolio of Valuation and modelling engagements and get involved in activities to support the wider team. Our team has regional coverage and many of our engagements involve multi-national clients. There would likely be overseas travel.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Manager you will make technical contributions to valuation and modelling engagements and internal projects. You will participate in various consulting projects for large international and local companies. The range of projects varies from solving simple problems of dynamically calculating the value of a company to building large-scale models of individual markets and industries, from models for assessing the economic efficiency of projects to developing models for strategic planning and scenario forecasting. Striving to deliver the valuation on time and within budget, you'll maximize assignment profitability where possible.

Your duties will also include, keeping senior manager and partner abreast of progress and of any significant issues.

  • Identifying needs and preparing presentations for existing and potential clients
  • Working on technical and commercial proposals (with the involvement of other specialists within the company).
  • Collecting, analyzing, formalizing business requirements, developing the basis of a project approach and detailed technical requirements for the solution
  • Working effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress;
  • Developing and coordinating with the project team and the client of project documentation;
  • Communicating with the client: current status, approval of changes / adjustments, presentation of results

Skills and Attributes for success

  • Commercial Acumen - Ability to apply financial accounting, corporate finance, business analysis, and report writing skills in delivering valuation solutions for clients;
  • Technical Knowledge - Detailed knowledge of the application of valuation methodologies regarding business entities, equity and debt securities, and intangible assets, including valuation discounts and premiums;
  • Organization - Highly organized and able to successfully execute a valuation project from planning to delivery, including managing project economics.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Strong writing and analytical skills;
  • Higher education in finance, accounting, economics or business administration; Excellent proficiency in financial modeling skills, proficiency in analytical calculations (factor analysis, sensitivity and scenario analysis, financial analysis, etc.);
  • Advanced user of MS Excel, Word, Power Point applications;
  • Prior work experience with an investment analysis, business valuation, financial modeling, business plans over 4 years;
  • Knowledge of approaches and methods of planning, budgeting and development of investment projects;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent command of Azerbaijani and English languages;
  • Ability to extensive travel on a short notice;
  • A professional qualification degree, preferably CFA, CPA or ACCA would be a plus.
