This role may be done up to 70% remotely

This role will report into Director Financial Reporting, ViiV (Consolidation), however the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work and develop financial reporting/business partnering skills with stakeholders varying in seniority, from analyst to Vice President. The role supports the ViiV business within GSK. ViiV Healthcare is a specialist pharmaceutical company 100% dedicated to HIV medicines and research and focused on people living with HIV and AIDS. ViiV is a joint venture between GSK, Pfizer and Shionogi and it generates c. £4bn sales annually.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide accounting and financial reporting services to the ViiV Healthcare (‘ViiV’) and GSK management teams by creating the ViiV statutory sub-group consolidated actual results, analysis and internal reporting on a monthly basis.
• Prepare the primary financial statements (ViiV Healthcare consolidated income statement, balance sheet, statement of changes in equity and cash flow), detailed analysis and notes for ViiV management approval.
• The scope includes financial management, statutory reporting, planning (consolidated plan), decision support, project management, simplification, and governance.
• Your goal will be to deliver a timely period end close. These activities will include research & analysis of entries, preparation & review of journals, etc
• Support the valuation process for the major transaction-related liabilities of ViiV Healthcare, principally the contingent consideration liability.

OUR REQUIREMENTS:

• Accounting degree in Finance (i.e. accounting, economy) or accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA)
• Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting principles
• At least 3 years of experience in related area
• Previous experience in statutory reporting would be an advantage.
• Strong Excel knowledge
• Good knowledge of English language
