About the role: We are currently recruitment for a Senior FP&A Accountant on a permanent basis. The role is to assist the FP&A Finance Manager to lead the process and deliver the Budget (and a balance of year forecast) for the group. The post holder will be working closely with the Country CEO's & Head Office Budget Holders to deliver a Budget that is owned by the budget holder and the CEO's alike, agreed with the Group CFO and Group CEO, and that meets the expectations of the bank and shareholders.

Responsibilities:
  • With the FP&A Finance Manager, lead the Group Budget process including:
  • Ensuring models reconcile to reported group actuals, and updated during the process as new actuals are delivered,
  • Ensuring all consolidation reports and overview documents are available before the process commences and available at every review point by the CFO and Group Financial Planning Manager.
  • Multiple detailed review and challenge of the Budgets submitted,
  • Implement the necessary education and training during the budget process for the budget holders.
  • Clear articulation of risks and opportunities.
  • Delivering a Budget which has an acceptable balance of risks and opportunities and is acceptable to shareholders.
  • Ensuring process delivers an efficient process and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Improvement and maintenance of current Budget models and identification of any improvements to meet the growing needs of the organisation.
  • Project work as allocated by the Group Financial Planning Manager.
  • Ad Hoc Analytical support for CFO, CEO and Shareholders.


What we are looking for: The successful postholder will be strong academically - educated to degree level and having completed their professional accounting qualification (ACCA / CIMA or similar). They will need to provide evidence of CPD. The successful postholder must have experience in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment and thrives on this. They will have excellent IT skills including advanced excel, and confident on various management reporting systemsStrong attention to detail is essential as well as being able to deliver right-first-time results quickly without getting lost in the detail. The successful postholder will be deadline focussed, and willing to put in the effort required to ensure they always meet them.

They will have a questioning mind; this person should always be looking for where improvements can be made and be comfortable working within a clinical environment where compassion is a requirement and have good resource and forward planning skills.
