Accountant

About the position: 

We are looking for an Accountant to join our Global Business Services division.

The position is responsible for accounting, and financial-related work tasks. The Accountant reports to Accounting Manager. The position holder has the authority to act within the guidelines and instructions for his/her position.

What will the position be doing:

Responsible for:

• Manages the GL, Stat & Tax for Singapore Legal Entity, Unitor Cylinder Pte Ltd
• Responsible for timely and accurate accounting close
• Preparation of Monthly reports and other analysis reports
• Review of reconciliation reports for AR, AP, Intercompany, and other balance sheet accounts
• Providing financial advice and proactive support to the management and business operations
• Drafting of financial statements/ tax computation
• Ability to engage with staff from overseas
• Liaison with auditor/ tax consultant/ company secretary for statutory reporting
• Continuously driving process improvement
• Upkeeping of strong internal control system and corporate governance
• Responsible for upkeeping good HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) practices per the company’s policy
• Any other duties or projects assigned by the Management

The required experience and skills:

Mandatory requirements:

• Degree in accounting from an accredited university or equivalent
• Audit experience in Big4 is preferred
• High proficiency in Excel
• Analytical, numerical, and systematic with an eye for details
• Responsible, motivated, conscientious, and upholds a high level of integrity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Team player

The work location:

This position is based in KL Sentral which is the central hub of rail transportation as well as easily accessible by other modes of public transportation.
