Finance Systems Accountant

Your role is to provide financial systems support across the organisation as well as supporting project management in relation to the finance systems.

Description

• Delivery effective and high quality day to day support from an operational and technical perspective across the organisations finance systems.
• Deal with enquiries from system users, and resolve relative issues within agreed timescales.
• Work alongside the finance systems users, in order to understand the present any upcoming technical and business requirements to aid the delivery of the Finance Operating Plan.
• Aid the growth and use of the finance systems to advance financial reporting, providing and successful service to external and internal customers.
• Advocate system upgrade processes, highlighting the advantages from changes in technology and deliver finance systems training across all sites.
• Deliver and guide financial improvements ensuring improvement within project management and ensuring the implementation of optimum solutions.
• Re-design and aid the business processes as and when required, ensuring full documentation of the processes and controls.
• Assure consistent integrity of data among the finance systems, inclusive of suitable separation of tasks and strong change control.
• Sustain successful relationships among Finance as well as external support providers and IT.

Profile

The successful candidate will be:
• CCAB (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) qualification or be qualified by substantial relevant experience.
• Experience in using financial systems at a daily basis, preferably in Oracle Financial.
• Experience in sustaining and advancing financial data, while ensuring the integrity of data.
• Financial reporting, accounting and processing experience and the ability to illustrate understanding of the outputs of financial systems in meeting accounting requirements.
• Have a thorough attention to detail and manage and prioritise varying workloads in order to adhere to agreed deadlines.
• Experience within project management and operational finance.
• Ability to work within a dynamic and complex environment, meeting tight deadlines.
• High level Skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Oracle.
• Be immediately available or a short notice period.
