The Accounts Assistant is an exciting opportunity to work with a long-established business within a large finance team. The Accounts Assistant role will be responsible for supporting the day to day running of the Finance department and supporting the wider business.

This is a hybrid role based in the City of London.
Description
The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for the following:
- Invoice postings, supplier statement reconciliations, payment runs and month-end closure.
- Posting of sub-contractor and agency costs including processing payments.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts, recording of transactions plus the preparation and processing of payments & direct debits.
- Reconciliation and recording of transactions including interest payments.
- Processing and payment of cash & credit card expenses across the group.
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and posting of fixed assets additions, disposals, and monthly depreciation journals.
- Maintaining records of the company's vehicles including lease contracts, mileage & maintenance records.
- Preparation and posting of journals plus nominal account reconciliations.
- Preparation and posting of prepayments and accruals.
Profile
The successful Accounts Assistant:
- Degree level education
- Actively studying ACCA/CIMA or desire to study (Preferred)
- Previous experience working within similar role covering transactional responsibilities
- Intermediate level Excel skills
