Accountant

This particular department looks after the truck, trailers for the wider Group, it will be responsible for accounting 8 workshops and In-house workshops managed by the company. This role is critical to the successful integration of the workshops and as such experience in an operational accounting role is essential. The ability to develop processes and systems to ensure cost recovery is a pre-requisite for this role.

Client Details

We are working with a global logistics company who have been going for over 25 years! Due to the demand in their services require an additional Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis.

Description

• Preparing open book accounts
• Preparing closed book accounts
• Working closely with operational team to ensure systems and processes are followed
• Ensuring suitable stock controls are in place
• Assisting with the implementation of a workshop computer system to ensure suitable accounting rules are in place
• Holding monthly cost reviews with each of the locations management and senior management
• Working closely with the Finance Team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts

• You will have excellent attention to detail and have the ability to work well in a dynamic, growing team
• Ability to work using own initiative with limited supervision within fixed guidelines.
