A hybrid senior accountant role reporting to the Group Financial Controller, part pf a diverse group finance team.
Client Details
Client is an ASX listed national brand in the electrical market with innovative products and services in the exciting space of renewable energy, electric vehicles infrastructure, industrial control systems to name a few.Description
As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Development of accounting systems and policies to ensure adequate and effective controls are in place to maintain integrity of financial data and reporting
- Working alongside the finance team to drive timely month end close, reconciliations, review and provide analysis to relevant stakeholders
- Support the broader national and international finance teams
- General ledger maintenance and postings
- Assisting with the preparation of BAS, FBT returns and other legislative submissions
- Assisting with coordinating and managing the financial audits
- Manage documentation preparation for group insurance renewals
- System administration and control
- Make recommendations for process improvements
- Drive and implement projects as required
- Support the monthly reporting requirements, including ad hoc reporting as required
- Assist with annual budgets and forecasts
- Deliver support to the organisation and key stakeholders
Profile

To be successful in this role you will also require:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting with CPA/CA status
- Proven track record supporting multiple Business units
- You will have previous experience working effectively across various stakeholders
- You will have strong analytical skills, technical skills and advanced excel skills
- Ability to ensure deliverables are met
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the team objectives and corporate goals
- Previous experience with Pronto will be highly advantageous
- Industry experience in product distribution or manufacturing would be desirable
