We are recruiting an experienced Finance Manager (Planning) for a 12 Month Fixed Term contract to cover maternity leave. This Housing Association based in South Manchester offers a 50/50 hybrid, great pension and 27 days holiday + bank holidays.
THE JOB
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance, the Finance Manager (Planning) will be enabled to have a great degree of autonomy to manage the team and deliver results. This role will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development area of the group. Leading and mentoring a motivated finance team, ensuring delivery of key financial and management information.
Key responsibilities:
* Successfully lead, develop, and coach team members to ensure a highly engaged, high performing team, providing excellent financial services
* Effective management of budgetary and financial control framework
* Identification and recommendation of innovative financial solutions, and drive continued growth and development of the group
* Financial evaluation of the Development and Sales programme
* Ensure effective financial advice is provided to EMT/SMT where needed including costing and pricing of new works, financial reviews of service areas, and business planning
* Management of the statutory accounting process, including regulatory and statutory financial compliance
* Manage the Tax & Treasury for the group
THE PERSON
* Fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) and demonstrable CPD, with relevant experience gained within Social Housing or a similar sector
* Possessing strong relationship-building skills, and the natural ability to be an inspirational leader to motivate the team
* You will have demonstrable experience of supporting internal and external stakeholders, and of working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to drive organisational change and development
* You must have an excellent working knowledge of external and internal reporting cycles, management accounts and budget preparation and analysis, and a solid understanding of relevant legislation and accounting principles
* Excellent IT skills including advanced use of excel, and well versed in using integrated ERP/Finance systems
